Police: 2 Men Enter Apartment & Assault Man Over Drugs

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. - Plattsburgh City Police arrested two men they say forcefully entered an apartment on Cornelia Street and assaulted a man living there. 

Police say Heith Duprey, 26, and Brad Aylward, 27, both of West Chazy, N.Y., assaulted 29-year-old Todd Bishop over the purchase and distribution of "K2" or synthetic marihuana in the area.

Both males fled the scene and were hiding in Clinton County area. 

Police arrested Aylward on Tuesday at the America's Best Value Inn in Plattsburgh. Duprey was located on Thursday at a residence in Keeseville, N.Y. 

Aylward is charged with 1st degree burglary and 2nd degree assault. Duprey is charged with 1st degree burglary and 2nd degree assault. 

Both Aylward and Duprey were arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court and sent to the Clinton County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 secured bond.
