Police Find 500 Bags of Heroin During Traffic Stop on I-87

QUEENSBURY, N.Y. -  New York State Police found 500 bags of heroin during a traffic stop on I-87 in Queensbury Thursday afternoon. Police conducted the stop at around 4 p.m. near exit 19.

Police say during the stop, they also found a loaded 0.40 caliber semi-automatic pistol and a small quantity of marijuana. 

The driver Mohamed Mohamed, 23, of Burlington, Vt., and passengers Michael Mayse, 27, of Irvington, N.J., Sahyna Baldwin, 22, of Newark, N.J.  were arrested.

Mohamed was charged with 2nd degree criminal possession of a weapon. Mayse and Baldwin were charged with 3rd degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Baldwin was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.
