Police: Quebec Man Arrested For Drug Possession at Border Crossing

CHAMPLAIN, N.Y. - A Quebec man was arrested for being in possession of a controlled substance at the Champlain Port of Entry early Saturday morning. The incident happened at around 2:45 a.m.

New York State Police says United States Border Protection agents found 18 methylphenidate pills on 27-year-old Ibrahim Azar. 

Azar is charged with one count of 7th degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was arraigned in the Town of Champlain court and was released after posting $750 cash bail. 

Azar is scheduled to reappear in court on May 22.
