PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. - New York State Police say the body found behind Knight's Automotive on Route 3 has been tentatively identified as 20-year-old Kodi Kadeem Beckles.

Police are continuing to investigate and an autopsy has been scheduled in Albany on Tuesday.  They say they suspect no foul play at this time.

Beckles was last seen between late Friday and early Saturday morning at an off-campus party in the area of Cornelia and Wells Streets. Police say he was last seen leaving the party on foot between 12:30 and 1:00 a.m. on April 5. Friends reported Beckles missing to SUNY Plattsburgh Police on April 5 when he didn't attend a meeting on campus earlier in the day.

Counseling will be available in the SUNY Plattsburgh student center.
Students close to Beckles will hold a memorial on campus for him Tuesday night at 6.

SUNY Plattsburgh President John Ettling gave this statement:
Our condolences go out to all who knew Kodi. No family should ever have to face the death of one so young.
