Police are warning the public about 3 new scams.

The first is out of St Albans, Vt. A man with an accent tells you that you have won the Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes. He then asks for a processing fee to collect.

Vermont Electric Cooperative is warning customers that someone is calling about payments that are due. You're told you need to pay up by phone or your service cut in 30 minutes.

In New York, people are being contacted someone claiming to be with Microsoft. Your caller ID might even show a Windows Support number. The caller will try to get access to your computer and then will hit you up for $100.

Remember to never give out any information over the phone. Report any strange phone calls to police.
