In New York’s 21st District, which is made up of 12 counties, including Clinton, Essex and Franklin counties—there is a Republican primary.
Businessman Matt Doheny, who lost in 2010 & 2012 to Democrat Bill Owens, is challenging former Bush-aide Elise Stefanik.
Owens decided not to seek re-election
Despite Tuesday’s race—both will appear on November’s ballot. Stefanik will run as a Conservative Party candidate, while Matt Doheny will run as the Independence Party candidate.
