U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) announced the second round of the application process for the Greek yogurt pilot program.

The USDA will be accepting proposals from greek yogurt makers who want to provide snacks to schools in up to 12 states.

It's all part of the organizations school lunch program, which just recently expanded to include Greek yogurt.

Schumer is urging New York yogurt producers to apply starting August 7.
