Restaurant, Plattsburgh Mayor Holding Fundraiser for First Weekends

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. - Plattsburgh Mayor Jim Calnon will be host bartender at The Pepper in Plattsburgh to raise money for First Weekends in Plattsburgh. 

A press release says all proceeds from tips and 25% of profits will be donated to the organization. First Weekends in Plattsburgh, Inc. is a not for profit organizations that is enacting a cultural renaissance in the city. 

"Our last year was extremely successful", said Tim McCormick, the President for First Weekends. "As a new organization just starting, we're extremely proud of the attention we've been able to attract to our downtown.  We're happy to contribute to the many exciting events that Plattsburgh has to offer and these fundraising events help us do that."

The event will be held on Friday, March 7 from 5-8 p.m. All donations will help cover expenses to host future events for the 2014 season.

First Weekends says they are excited to be planning the 2014 year and will be holding fundraising events the first weekend of the month throughout the season.
