ALBANY, N.Y. - New York Governor Andrew Cuomo signed legislation to expand services for veterans, active servicemembers, and their families.

It lowers education costs for veterans on the GI bill, offers more flexibility for family members with professional licenses to switch between states, and increases burial assistance provided by the state for family members.

The bill also streamlines transferring a child's transcript to a new school if moving for military service.
