Two Teens Accused of Stealing Two Cars & Crashing Them

TUPPER LAKE, N.Y. - Two teens were arrested for stealing two cars and crashing them early Sunday morning. 

New York State Police say 16-year-old Michael DeRosia Jr., of Piercefield, N.Y., and a 15-year-old boy, of Tupper Lake, N.Y., are accused of stealing a vehicle on Hill Street in Tupper Lake and crashing it on Haymeadow Drive. The two are then accused of stealing a second vehicle from a residence on Haymeadow Drive. The second vehicle was crashed at the intersection of Route 421 and Route 30.

DeRosia is charged with 3rd degree grand larceny. He was released under supervision probation.

The 15-year-old boy was charged with 3rd degree grand larceny. Due to his age, police say, he was released with a family court appearance ticket.

DeRosia is scheduled to appear in court on May 5.
