Utica Man Accused of Stabbing Brother With Scissors

UTICA, N.Y. - Police say a Utica man was taken to the hospital with a punctured lung after his brother allegedly stabbed him with a pair of scissors early Thursday morning.

43-year-old Stephen Gomolka of Ballantyne Brae was charged with assault in the second degree, a felony, and criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor.

The victim was stabbed when an argument escalated into a fight, according to Utica Police

Police recovered the pair of scissors at the scene that they believe were used in the stabbing.
