Officials Monitor Bristol Brush Fire

Bristol, Vt - A long night ahead for fire crews in Bristol.

Officials say homes are not in danger but firefighters are monitoring a brush fire.

The fire started just after 6:00 p.m. Friday night on Hog Back Mountain Road.

Crews say it was in the area known as "deer leap".

Local 22 has been told after meeting with the state's Forest and Parks Department, officials said it just wasn't safe to keep going because of manpower, the weather, and decreasing daylight.

A fire watch will be in place Friday night until crews can return in the morning.
