Officials Remind Drivers to Slow Down as School Starts

A reminder to drive safe and slow down.

AAA says one in four child pedestrian deaths happen between the hours of 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Drivers should come to complete stops and watch out for bicyclists.

Officials also caution drivers to always check your surroundings and avoid distracted driving.

"Talk to your teen," 
says Harri Sterling of AAA Northern New England. "Car crashes continue to be the number one reason teens die and those typically, one in four of those, happen also between that 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. time frame."
