Plenty of New Hampshire residents are doing their civic duty in the first presidential primary.

A state election official says voter turnout was steady Tuesday morning at polls across the state. But he says it's still too early to tell if turnout will meet expectations or break records.

The New Hampshire primary chooses the delegates who will serve at the national party conventions which will select the nominee.
