"Pistachio, Cranberry and Stiller": Actor Visits Local Brewery

Plattsburgh, Ny - A brewery in Plattsburgh got a surprise visit Tuesday from a movie star, on the two year anniversary of the prison break in Dannemora.

Ben Stiller was in town to check out the sites for his latest project from Showtime "Escape from Dannemora." He stopped by Valcour Brewing Co. on the old air force base, sitting by the kitchen window of the taproom.

Staff there say they were star-struck, and Stiller was a great guy.

"They went to the museum and they sent them over here, Ben himself really liked the historic part of it. He was really down to earth, I mean he had on sunglasses but he was down to earth he didn't act like he was a really famous person," Tim Tyler from Valcour Brewing Co., said.

Tyler and a few other staffers showed Stiller and his crew around the brewery, which is a restored hospital.

Stiller order the pistachio, cranberry and blue cheese salad as well as an Arnold Palmer. The head brewery says he's thinking about renaming the salad "Pistachio, Cranberry and Stiller," after the actor.
