Plattsburgh Police: Second Suspect in Armed Robbery Arrested

Plattsburgh, NY - Plattsburgh Police announced the second suspect in an armed robbery from early Saturday morning.

Officials say police were called to 70 Margaret Street where residents reported two men, one armed with a handgun the other with what was believed to be pepper spray, entered the home and demanded money.

One suspect was known to the homeowners, according to police, he was identified as Michael Johnson, 24, of Saranac Lake.

The other man was later identified as Sabbath McGregor, 20, of Chase Mills.

Authorities say both men had left with an undisclosed amount of money.  Plattsburgh police, along with New York State Police and the Saranac Lake Police Department found Johnson on Route 3 in Saranac Lake.

Both men are charged with robbery in the first degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, and petit larceny, according to police.

Johnson was arraigned on Sunday and is being held at Clinton County Jail on $50,000 cash bail or $250,000 bond.  McGregor will be arraigned Monday.
