Police Identify the Victims of Saturday's Deadly Crash into the Lamoille River

Morristown, Vt. - Morristown Police have released the names of the victims of a fatal crash that happened in Morristown on Saturday evening. 

According to police Paul Smith, 34, and Leonard Audet, 25, both of Morristown, died when the 2005 Saab Smith was driving crashed and ended up submerged in the Lamoille River.  

An earlier media release said the crash happened near the Tenney Bridge.

Police say speeding appears to a factor into the cause the crash.

Investigators are still looking into the cause of the crash, anyone with information or might of seen Paul Smith driving near Route 15A on Saturday night is asked to contact Morristown Police at 802-888-4211.
