SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. - Police say an infant was used to smuggle drugs into a jail in South Burlington.

Police say 27-year-old David Willette was visiting 35-year-old Julea Larson at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility.

They say Willette brought a baby to the scheduled visit. During a search, narcotics were found on the baby who was immediately taken into the care of the state.

Willette was arrested for reckless endangerment of a child and possession of narcotics, and Larson was arrested for conspiracy.
