MILTON, Vt. - Police say a Milton man was cited with possession of fireworks after officers received a complaint they were being set off on Railroad Street.
Police say officers responded to the complaint and found Matthew Troville, 30, setting off fireworks in his driveway.
Troville is expected to appear at Vermont Superior Court in Burlington on August 3, according to a release from Milton police.
The Milton Police Department wants to remind people fireworks are dangerous and to possess them legally, you must have a permit.
Officials say fireworks complaints have increased 300% from May 25 to July 2 compared to last year.
