Plattsburgh Police are looking for your help in finding a person who abandoned a puppy.

Police say someone in a red mini-van dropped off a 6 to 8-month old puppy at the former City of Plattsburgh compost plant on Reeves Lane around noon on Wednesday.

Investigators say someone walked the puppy away from the van, and then ran back to the van.  The person had to do this twice as the puppy kept following them back to the van.

According to police the van went west on Reeves Lane onto Rugar Street.

The puppy is a black lab mix.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Plattsburgh Police.
