Police Search for Suspect in 2 Attempted Robberies

South Burlington, Vt. - South Burlington Police are trying to find the man behind two attempted robberies overnight at gas stations.

Police say one robbery attempt happened at the Champlain Farms on Williston Road. The other was at the Jolley on Shelburne Road.

The incidents happened within 15 minutes of each other around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

Police say he went into the stores and demanded money. When the suspect was at the Champlain Farms, the clerk drew a pistol and the man ran away. At the other gas station, the clerk refused to give the man money and hit him with her cane.

The man police are looking for is about 5'7'' and between 130-140 pounds.
