Power Outage Planned in Northern Vermont

Green Mountain Power is planning an outage Thursday that will affect 400 of its customers in Franklin County.

The outage will begin at 3:30 p.m. and is expected to wrap-up by 4:30 p.m.

Green Mountain Power says the outage will allow them to make repairs to electric lines, structures, which were damaged recently by the ice storm. They will also remove trees at various locations.

The towns impacted by the outage are Fletcher, Cambridge and Fairfax.

The Fletcher General Store, Fletcher Town Clerk, and the Fletcher School were notified Wednesday, according to GMP.

Impacted areas:

  • Fletcher: Fairfax Road, Pond Road, North Road, School Road, North Cambridge Road

  • Fairfax: River Road, the western end of Goose Pond Road, east end of Fletcher Road

  • Cambridge: outage only to customers on North Cambridge Road in the town of Cambridge
