President Trump Nominates Christina Nolan as the Next US Attorney for Vermont

Washington, D.C. - President Donald Trump has nominated Christina Nolan as the next US Attorney for Vermont.

Nolan has been Assistant US Attorney since 2010. She is a native Vermonter, graduated from UVM and studied law at Boston College.

Governor Phil Scott and Senator Patrick Leahy nominated Nolan for the position in June.

“We thank President Trump for following our recommendation and nominating Christina Nolan to be the next United States Attorney for the District of Vermont.  Christina is a tough and well-respected prosecutor who is uniquely familiar with the challenges of our state’s opioid crisis.  We were both impressed by Christina’s passion for the State of Vermont and for the mission of a prosecutor – to seek justice and improve our communities – as well as her thoughtfulness and leadership.  We will now work to advance her nomination in the Senate and hope she will be confirmed without delay,” said Scott and Leahy in a joint statement.
