Pride Center of Vermont's Executive Director has Resigned

Burlington, Vt. - The Pride Center of Vermont’s Executive Director has resigned from her position. According to Rex Butt the interim director, Susan Hartman resigned on Monday.

“She came to me and had determined despite everyone’s efforts it really wasn’t a good fit for her,” said Butt in a phone interview. Butt said Hartman felt some ‘key connections’ weren’t in place for her.

Butt has volunteered at the center for the past year. He has resigned his position on the board to take over as interim executive director.

He said will serve in this role through June “It’s been a rough ride the last six months; I want to work to try to create a communion so we can work together more effectively,” said Butt.

According to Butt, the board has to find someone to fill the role before the new fiscal year, which begins in July 2018.
