PLATTSBURGH, NY - The Pride Parade will return to the North Country next month.
Thursday night, the Common Council approved the route and times for the parade.
Last year's event was believed to be the North Country's first ever LGBTQ pride parade.
Kelly Metzgar, one of the leaders organizing the event, says she hopes to bring more people to Plattsburgh.
"We are looking to bring guests and visitors from around the state, this will be advertised statewide and so for us to put on a quality event so people will say, 'yes, we want to go back to Plattsburgh next year.' That's what we're looking for," said Metzgar.
The parade will take place Saturday, September 30 from 12-5 pm.
