Montpelier, Vt - The Vermont Public Utility Commission has turned down a solar panel project in Charlotte.
The project would have built 650 solar panels close to Mount Philo State Park.
If you're a mountain climber you likely would have been able to see the solar farm.

A statement from the commssion said if it went through with the project it would "materially interfere with the public's use and enjoyment of the park."
Mount Philo is the oldest park in the National Park system and one of the four most visited state parks in Vermont.
