Rain Causes Sewage Overflow in City of Rutland

Rutland, Vt. - The City of Rutland’s Public Works says to avoid some areas of East and Otter Creeks for the next two days as the rain has caused a sewage overflow from 3 of the 4 CSOs (combined sewer overflows) in the area.

Officials say the CSOs serve as a collection area when too much rain enters the sewers.
