Red Cross Sets Up Shelter for Thetford Residents during Flooding

Thetford, Vt - Red Cross workers are deploying to Thetford, Vt, where residents are being evacuated because of flooding.

The shelter is at the Thetford Elementary School on 2689 VT-113 in Thetford Center.

The Thetford Emergency Management Director ordered the evacuation for those living on Route 132 between residents 2322 and 4515. They should leave their homes because of the high water.

According to the Red Cross, pets are not allowed in the shelter, unless they are service animals.
