Williston, Vt. - The Williston Chowda Challenge returned for its seventh year in a row.
The Village Green was full of chowder chefs and tasters. Local restaurants like Windjammer and Cody's Irish Pub served up their best chowder. Municipal departments also participated like Williston Fire Department.
The annual event is organized by "Mr. Chowder" himself– Officer Travis Trybulski. Trybulski is also the President of the Williston Police Officers' Association.
"I've organized and ran it since 2011," he said. "I brought the concept to Vermont from the department that I worked at in New Hampshire prior and I like clam chowder."
The challenge benefits the Williston Police Officers' Association as well as the Community Food Shelf that serves 250 families each month.

The best chowder of the Municipal Departments was made by Williston Fire Department and the best chowder display was won by the Williston Police.
