Sharks Found in New York Basement Pool

Lagrangeville, N.Y. - People have been known to hide things in their basements, how about live sharks?

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation released photos of sharks swimming in a basement pool in Lagrangeville.

Officers executed a search warrant, and found the 15-foot wide above-ground pool.

They found seven live sandbar sharks, two dead leopard sharks and one dead hammerhead shark.

Marine wildlife experts took blood samples, measured, and tagged the sharks before transferring them to the Long Island Aquarium.

No one has been charged, but the investigation is on-going.
