South Burlington, Vt. - School officials have set a date on when South Burlington residents will be able to re-vote on the school budget. The first budget was voted down on Town Meeting Day.
Officials say the re-vote will be happening on April 6, voters will be asked to approve a $49.7 million dollar budget, and the new budget is $810,000 less than the first budget.
According to South Burlington City Clerk, Donna Kinville, the re-vote is a special election and will cost taxpayers money. Officials say in an effort to save money, the ballots will be hand counted.
