South Burlington Police: Searching for Suspect who Allegedly Stole Lottery Tickets and Cash

South Burlington, Vt. - South Burlington Police are looking for a woman who is suspected of stealing an envelope full of lottery tickets and cash. 

According to police, on June 12 a man reported that he had left an envelope with $100 worth of lottery tickets and $50 cash in a shopping basket at the Shaws Supermarket on Shelburne Road. 

Police say when the man realized he had forgotten it, the envelope was gone.  Authorities say the man suffers from memory loss.

According to the media release, after police looked at the surveillance video, the man is seen leaving with the envelope in the basket.  After he leaves a woman with a white flower print shirt is seen taking the envelope, checking to see what was in it and leaving the store.
