STOWE, Vt. - Saturday was International Snow Day and people in Stowe celebrated with different winter events.
It's all part of the fourth annual Stowe ‘Tour de Snow’ event.
The event featured sledding, hockey, and adaptive sports just to name a few.
People of all ages were trying out the different winter sports the event has to offer.
Organizers say each year the event changes things up.
“Every year it’s a little bit different, the first year we were trying to feature the Stowe rec path and raise money to groom that. This year we are just trying to create more like a carnival -fair and have all our games together,” said Pascale Savard, the event organizer."
This year the event is raising money for the Skiing Kids in Schools or SKIS program.
The program purchases equipment and trainers to teach students in Stowe how to Nordic ski as part of their gym class.
