MILTON, VT - Crews responded to a call early Saturday morning of a trailer leaking natural gas at NG Advantage in Milton.
According to the Milton Fire Department, the leaking trailer was being filled up at the facility and was going to head out to another site.
But the truck never left the business.
"With the wind and the air being a little bit heavier, we found that the gas to be much more prevalent at ground level than we had seen in some other cases and incidents, so we again secured the area, secured the facility to make sure no one was in danger," said Milton Fire Chief Don Turner.
Fire officials also say the business has had similar incidents.
The trailer and surrounding areas were evacuated, and the scene was cleared by 11 am. No injuries were reported.
NG Advantage fills about 15-20 trailers per day with highly compressed natural gas.
