UPDATE: Search for New Hampshire Man Suspected of Carfentanil Possession Over

Police had issued a nationwide arrest warrant earlier this week

Manchester, NH - Manchester Police say a man has been found, after a nationwide arrest warrant was issued earlier this week.

Officials say Preston Thorpe, 24, of Manchester, was taken into custody around 1 p.m. Friday, after an anonymous tip was called in, saying Thorpe was at a Best Western Hotel.

Authorities say Thorpe is charged with possession of carfentanil, he's also charged with a parole violation, and will like appear in court Monday.

Police said they found traces of carfentanil in his home after a search warrant was executed.  The drug is more potent than heroin and fentanyl.
