Houston - Volunteers from the New Hampshire and Vermont region of the Red Cross have been in Houston since last weekend.
Local 22 talked with the New Hampshire and Vermont Red Cross Communications and Marketing Officer Lloyd Ziel.
Ziel is at the George R. Brown Convention Center.
Friday afternoon, they were setting up a make shift hospital for some new arrivals.
"We've got somebody on their way over here from a local church." Said Ziel. "She and her mother are bringing over her four day old baby that she just had during this torrential storm."
Doctors and nurses were prepared to greet the family.
Ziel said while the capacity of clients has decreased at the shelter, he expects it to go back up, once people realize their homes can't be lived in.
He expects to be in Houston for two weeks or more.
