Vermont State Police Corporal Passes Away from Cancer

A Vermont State Police corporal lost his battle with brain cancer on Tuesday, Local 22 & Local 44 has learned.

In a brief statement posted on Facebook, Vermont State Police said Corporal Daniel Marcellus died peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family.

Corporal Marcellus made an appearance at Fenway Park earlier this month, where he threw the first pitch for the Boston Red Sox's Vermont Day game.

Corporal Marcellus was with the Vermont State Police for fourteen years.
