Vermont State Police: Georgia man arrested during traffic stop for attempting to assault troopers

Georgia, Vt. - Vermont State Police say a Georgia man was arrested for allegedly speeding as well as attempting to assault law enforcement.

Police say, Bradley Therrien, 36, was clocked speeding on I-89 on November 13.

According to police, he was driving 95 mph in a 65 mph zone.

Authorities say when Therrien was pulled over he tried to resist arrest by attempting to strangle and punch police. 

Police say Therrien was held at Northwest State Correctional Facility for lack of $10,000 bail.

He was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday to answer to the charges of careless and negligent operation, resisting arrest, aggravated assault on law enforcement, and reckless endangerment
