Vermont State Police: Missing Alburgh Teen Could be With Sex Offender

Alburgh, Vt. -

Vermont State Police is looking for a missing Alburgh teen and the man she is suspected to be with. 

According to police, Mickayla Lozell, 16 of Alburgh, hasn’t been seen since June 4.  She was last seen leaving her home with a backpack around 5 p.m.  Police say she contacted an acquaintance on June 6, saying she’s ok. 

Police believe Lozell could be with William Smith, a 47 year old, registered sex offender.  Police say Smith hasn’t recently complied with the Sex Offender Registry Office and has a warrant out for his arrest.

Police say Smith is believed to be driving a gold, Dodge Intrepid, with Vermont License Plate GST 814

According to police the pair is suspected to be in the New Hampshire area, possibly in the Hampton Beach or Concord Beach area. 

Police say foul play is not suspected.  Anyone with information of where they could be is asked to contact Vermont State Police at (802)524-5993.
