Vermont State Police: Sex Offender to be Arraigned Tuesday

St. Albans, Vt. - UPDATE: Vermont State Police told us Monday night, William Smith will be arraigned at Vermont Superior Court in St. Albans, Tuesday at 11 a.m.

Smith was to arrive in Vermont, Monday evening.

Vermont State Police say William Smith, 47, is the subject of an investigation involving, Mickayla Lozell, 16, of Alburgh. Lozell was reported missing on June 4.

A media release says authorities found the pair on June 8 in a Walmart parking lot in Lisbon, Connecticut.

Police say Smith is being held on arrest warrants for violating probation and failure to comply with the Vermont Sex Offender Registry.
