2 VEC Workers Shocked While Working on Snowmaking System at Smugglers' Notch Resort

CAMBRIDGE, Vt. - According to Liz Gamache, spokesperson for Vermont Electric Cooperative, there was an incident Friday involving two of their line workers. They were shocked while doing work on their electric system that supports the snowmaking system at Smugglers’ Notch Resort.

Both workers were transported to Fletcher Allen Health Care. One was admitted and released within 24 hours.

Both workers were wearing personal protective equipment at the time of the incident.

An investigation is underway to understand what happened. VOSHA is also conducting an investigation.
