BURLINGTON, VT- The heat was on inside Nectar's Lounge on Saturday in downtown Burlington.

17 teams competed for the Best Overall Chili in the 2nd Annual Queen City Chili Cook Off.

People tasted some unique flavors, even a few bites wth a kick, and picked their favorite.

Our very own Brittany Hibbs, and a few others judged the competition.

At the end of the day, Team Evolution took the title of Best Overall Chili- the Patriots Chili, which had prime rib in it.

"It's hot. We go for a seven on the heat scale. You know we dont want it unbearable. As spike use to say, while youre eating it you have a little sweat on your brow," said AJAX Team Death Sausage

"We like to give back to the community a little bit. Have a nice day during the spring to showcase your home cooking talents. And have a little friendly competition," said Jason Gelrud, Nectar's Lounge

Other catorgories included best presentation and most creative

The event raised $1,300 dollars for the Burlington Firefighters Association.
