VERGENNES, Vt. - A five car pile up in Vergennes Friday morning injured one. The accident happened at around 7:30 a.m.

Vermont State Police say they are looking for help locating and identifying two of the five cares that left the scene prior to police arrival. The vehicles are described as being a green Subaru and a white Jeep Cherokee. The Cherokee had fender damage and left a fender in the road.

Police say a school bus caused a delay in traffic on U.S. Route 7. Several operators didn't leave enough space between vehicles, causing a number of collisions.

One person was sent to Porter Hospital for a possible neck injury that was reported as non-life threatening.

Police say everyone involved in the crash were wearing seat belts.

Anyone with information on the identity of the vehicles is asked to call Vermont State Police at at 802-388-4919.
