COLCHESTER, Vt. - It was all about fun and fish for the 7th annual LCI Governor's Cup Angler's Battle.

Outside teams could register, joining Congressman Peter Welch and other local leaders at the shore of the Winooski River.

Overall, the Governor's Cup will highlight the importance of a healthy lake. Proceeds go to the Next Generation Fund and the Champlain Fisheries Recovery Initiative.

Overall, this is a very casual event.

"We have the trophy for the first place this year - than second place gets a Hannah Montana fishing rod, I think maybe a bag of goldfish," Lake Champlain International, Inc. Rebecca Carlson said.

It appears Vermont Senator Dick Mazza's team will get that fishing rod. Burlington Mayor Miro Weinberger and his team were in third place.
