SHELBURNE, VT- What better way to recognize Autism Awareness month than to build your own bear!

Vermont Family Network and the Howard Center teamed up with Vermont Teddy Bear on Saturday to raise awareness for autism.

People could go on tours of the factory, make their own furry friend, and learn about autism resources too.

All proceeds from the tour, and all donations benefited the Vermont Family Network.

"We have fun giveaways and lots of different information regarding milestones, red flags for autism, and various other resources through out the county and the state," said Jamie Rainville, Autism Program Coordinator, Vermont Family Network.

Kids under 12 got to enjoy the events for free.
