ST. GEORGE, VT- Hinesburg Vermont Firefighters shutdown a portion of Route 2A for almost an hour on Saturday, because of a car on fire.

Here's the scene just before 11:00am.

Both the northbound and southbound lanes on Route 2A in St. George were closed to traffic.

Officials from the Hinesburg Fire Department tell ABC22 FOX44 the Volkswagon Jetta was being towed on a flat-bed trailer when the tow truck driver noticed flames.

Officials said they believe the fire sparked from an oil leak.

No one was hurt, and the vehicle is unregistered.
