BURLINGTON, Vt. - CCTA bus drivers will be holding a press conference Wednesday over their contracts.

A press release says CCTA's final offer to the bus drivers' union on January 29 was voted down 53-4.

“We are simply working for a fair contract that supports jobs with dignity and allows us, as drivers, to do our job and provide safe and reliable transportation for our neighbors,” Rob Slingerland, CCTA Bus Driver, said.

The press conference is being held at 12 p.m. at the Cherry Street Bus Station. Drivers say they have been negotiating with CCTA for the past 8 months.
