GMP: No Concerns With Power Capacity Over the Heat

COLCHESTER, Vt. - Green Mountain Power says there is no concern with capacity over the heat. 

The power company may high the highest usage of the summer season on Wednesday, but it won't be close to the usage of last summer. Peak usage typically comes between 2 and 4 p.m.

Green Mountain Power Spokesperson Dotty Schnure says summer peaks have been lower this year due to solar development and energy efficiency.

Green Mountain Power usually sets record peaks when the there several days of hot weather.
