WINOOSKI, Vt. - You can expect major changes to the tax season around this time next year, but experts say this year the changes are minimal.

There are several ways to file your taxes by April 15, but there's also free help being offered.

Tax counselors at the Winooski Senior Center and the library in Essex are helping seniors straighten up their financial affairs. It's primarily for low to middle income people over 50, but they don't turn anyone away.

You just need to make an appointment and remember to bring all of the necessary paperwork.

The IRS recommends that you keep tax records for 3 years.
