BURLINGTON - Many of the homeless campers who were removed from a Pine Street property for police to investigate a suspicious death are now camping at the North Beach campground.

Police asked the Burlington Parks and Rec Department if they had availability at the campground. Director Jesse Bridges said they do until Thursday, when things get busy for marathon weekend.

In the meantime the HowardCenter Street Outreach team is working with some of the homeless to find a suitable living situation.

Some of the homeless at North Beach say they plan on moving back to Pine Street.

Burlington Police Chief Michael Schirling said they don't know what they'll do yet if the camp there is reestablished.
